Kanye West is believed to be in the country to film a music video for music from his new album, The Life Of Pablo, and the stars are said to have checked into 101 Hotel during the stay, according to the Iceland Review

Located in the oldest part of Reykjavik, the black and white hotel emanates the refined modern elegance loved by the Kardashian clan.

Some of the 38 rooms offer views of the stunning surrounding mountains and harbour, and there are also six suites available for those able to part with more cash.

It has not been confirmed which rooms they opted for, but the most luxurious room available is the Apartment Suite which includes a walk-in shower, king-size bed, bathtub and underfloor heating.

Upon arrival, the group would have been able to enjoy the hotel's basement spa, which comes complete with gym, sauna and plunge pool.

There is also a DVD library, a bar, concierge, an in-house restaurant serving traditional Icelandic and international cuisine, and free Wi-Fi, perfect for the social media-active Kardashians.

Rooms come with flatscreen TVs, an iPod dock, CD/DVD player, a minibar and bath products by Aveda.

Kim, 35, Kourtney and Jonathan, 42, made sure to capture the travel excitement on Snapchat, which documented their arrival to the windy destination.

The famous crew have been sharing the trip on social media as Jonathan shared a video on Snapchat of Kim bringing out a cake to Kourtney during dinner on Monday.

Also filmed during their visit was the moment Jonathan decided to tuck into an Icelandic delicacy, horsemeat, at Grillmarkadurinn, a popular restaurant in downtown Reykjavik.

Aside from this the group uploaded images of them walking through the snow-capped landscape at Iceland’s famous Gullfoss waterfall.

Currently there are no five-star hotels in Iceland, but this is all set to change in less than a month with the launch of the Diamond Suites on the top-floor of the four-star Hótel Keflavík.

According to the Iceland Monitor no expense has been spared in making the accommodation as luxurious as possible.

Guests will also be able to take advantage of Europe’s largest hotel gym, and sample culinary delights by Master Chef Iceland contestant Jenný Rúnarsdóttir.

It was thought the first five-star hotel would be one currently being built at the famous Blue Lagoon resort, but the Diamond Suites, scheduled for May 17, is set to pip it at the post.
