A new theme park dedicated to Michael Jackson could be in the works in Shanghai, China, seven years after the singer's death.
Jermaine Jackson, Michael's brother and former member of the Jackson Five, was in the country last week exploring possible sites for the attraction, which is said to be based on Neverland Ranch.
So far, the American singer has scoped Baoshan cruise terminal and Gucun Park as potential locations.
Jermaine Jackson visited Shanghai last week and looked at two locations that could reportedly become the site for a new Michael Jackson theme park
The new attraction is said to be based on Michael Jackson's former home in California, Neverland ranch
The details of the theme park was shared in a post linked from Michael Jackson's official account on Weibo, China's equivalent of Twitter, on April 17.
It explains that it was Jermaine Jackson's first visit to Shanghai.
As well as scouting for potential musical talent in the city and exploring business opportunities, Jermaine Jackson was also looking at laying out details for a Michael Jackson theme park based on the Neverland Ranch.
The post also stated that Wu Jun, CEO at Hollywood Culture Industrial Investment (Shanghai) Limited, had expressed that Jermaine Jackson was very happy with the sites he visited on his trip.
Neverland Ranch once featured a theme park as well as a zoo. Although these and other references to Michael Jackson have been removed, the property remains on the market
Sotheby's is currently listing the huge property, now renamed Sycamore Valley Ranch, for $100,000,000
Development of the park is also said to be 'in progress' although it's not known whether any deadlines have been set for its opening.
Earlier this year, MailOnline reported that Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch in Los Olivos, California remains unsold.
The six-bedroom property has been renamed Sycamore Valley Ranch, the name it had before Michael Jackson.
Traces of the star have also been removed, including the fairground and zoo.
The ranch is still listed on Sotheby's website for $100,000,000 (£69,416,966).
MailOnline Travel has reached out to Jermaine Jackson's representatives for comment.
