Approximately 1,100 athletes are in Lillehammer, Norway for the Youth Olympic Games. Click on the video above now as flag-bearer and biathlete Ben Churchill leads Canadian athletes into Lysgardsbakkene Ski Jumping Arena.
Beginning on Saturday, CBCSports.ca will also offer viewers two daily update shows over nine days: One at 11 a.m. ET, and a second at 4 p.m. ET.
Canada is sending 54 athletes in 11 sports to Lillehammer 2016. There are 15 sports in total, the same number as the Winter Olympics.
Canadian medal hopefuls include the hockey and mixed curling teams.
Lillehammer 2016 is the fourth Youth Olympic Games. The first winter version was Innsbruck, Austria in 2012.
There have been two summer editions: Singapore 2010 and Nanjing 2014.
