There were four Canadian NHL teams in action on Saturday night. Here's a quick look at how they fared.
Leafs run away from Blues
Peter Holland broke a 1-1 tie in the third period to help the Toronto Maple Leafs beat the St. Louis Blues 4-1.
Toronto got a solid effort from goalie Jonathan Bernier who turned away 39 shots.
Vladimir Tarasenko scored his 23rd goal of the season in defeat.
Complete effort by Flames
Dougie Hamilton got the Calgary Flames on the board early in a 4-0 blanking of the Avalanche in Colorado.
Josh Jooris, Matt Stajan, and Mikeal Backlund each piled on a goal in the middle frame, while Karri Ramo made 26 saves to record the shutout.
Oilers end slide
Jordan Eberle's second goal of the game forced overtime and Ryan Nugent-Hopkins provided the decisive marker in the shootout to lift the Edmonton Oilers to a 4-3 win over the Arizona Coyotes.
The win snapped a four-game losing streak for the Oilers.
Eberle's game-tying goal also accounted for the 300th point of his NHL career.
Jets get it done in San Jose
The Winnipeg Jets surged to a 4-1 win over the San Jose Sharks with forward Joel Armia netting the first goal of his career at the 2:45 mark of the second period to put his team up for good.
