The sputtering Montreal Canadiens are playing host to the Buffalo Sabres Wednesday night, and the Bell Centre is looking just a little less lively than usual.

As of now, we've all heard of the historically bad run the Canadiens are experiencing.
They started the year on an absolute tear, and were sitting pretty with the best record in the NHL. But Carey Price, who had already missed some time early in the season with a knee injury, re-aggravated it and last played on Nov. 25. Since then, Montreal is 6-20-2, dropping them to 12th in the East, well out of a playoff spot.
And now, some fans aren't coming to the rink to show their support. The last time they played at home, they lost 5-2 to the league-worst Columbus Blue Jackets — the night before, they lost in Columbus by the exact same score.
Here are some of the best tweets in regards to tonight's game in Montreal, where "Bell Centre" started trending in Canada:

The empty seats may have lit a fire under Montreal.
Buffalo opened the scoring on their first shot on net, and led 1-0 entering the second period. But Montreal started the next period with boatloads of energy, and currently lead 2-1.
