Armchair travellers can take a look inside one of the world's most notorious states with bird's eye view footage of Pyongyang, the capital of North Korea.
A videographer joined one of the first tourist groups ever to be permitted to fly over the city, capturing images of its sprawling tower blocks and ambitious building projects.
Aram Pan joined the group from Young Pioneer Tours (youngpioneertours.com), a China-based company that specialises in holidays to North Korea. The flight allowed them panoramic views of Pyongyang, including the infamously incomplete 105-storey Ryugyong Hotel, the Taedong River, and the May Day stadium, the world's largest arena.
• Return to North Korea: fascinating images from inside the DPRK
Mr Pan runs a photography project called DPRK360, which aims to "uncover the mysteries that lay hidden" in North Korea and increase understanding of the country.
Previous visitors to the country have documented everyday life under the rule of Kim Jong-un, the "Supreme Leader" of North Korea, whose country remains politically adrift from the rest of the world. Photographers have captured images inside its hotels, in its underground stations, and at the statues dedicated to the ruling dynasty.
