Four Canadian teams were in action on Thursday night, two went to the shootout to settle things up, while a few young stars shined in an all-Canadian match.
Here's a look at how they fared:
Leafs' late tying goal rallies team
With the net empty, Tyler Bozak scored with 2:06 remaining in the game to tie the game 2-2 against the New Jersey Devils, and P.A. Parenteau scored the lone shootout goal to give Toronto a 3-2 win.
Both goalies were impressive, with Keith Kinkaid making 37 saves for New Jersey and his counterpart James Reimer making 32 for Toronto.
Reimer had the last laugh as he was perfect in overtime.
Eberle leads Oilers past Sens
The Edmonton Oilers are now a perfect 2-0-0 since Connor McDavid's return from injury after dismantling the Ottawa Senators 7-2 at the Canadian Tire Centre.
The rookie had two assists, but it was winger Jordan Eberle who created the most impact with two goals in the opening frame and an assist for Edmonton.
Ottawa goalie Craig Anderson was chased from the net in the first period when he allowed three goals on ten shots.
Sedin's return not enough for Canucks
Vancouver Canucks captain Henrik Sedin made his return from injury, but it wasn't enough to help rally his team past the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets.
The Canucks fell 2-1 in a shootout to the worst team in the league thanks to a goal by Alex Wennberg.
