Philadelphia Flyers forward Ryan White, a player known more for throwing his body around than contributing offensively, could be facing his second NHL suspension.
The 27-year-old former Montreal Canadien was ejected from Sunday night's game at Detroit 2:20 into the first period and assessed a match penalty for a hit to the head of Red Wings forward Tomas Jurco.
A match penalty means the NHL's department of player safety will automatically review the hit.

In April 2013, White was playing for Montreal when he was suspended five games for an illegal check to the head of Philadelphia defenceman Kent Huskins.
White, who played parts of five seasons with the Canadiens, signed a one-year contract extension with Philadelphia last June after setting career highs in goals (six), assists (six) and points (12) in only 34 regular-season games.
The native of Brandon, Man., entered Sunday's contest with four goals and seven points in 33 games this season along with 54 penalty minutes.
In 209 NHL regular-season games, the hard-nosed White has 15 goals, 36 points and 316 penalty minutes.
Montreal drafted the six-foot, 200-pounder in the third round in 2006.
