Star Wars: The Force Awakens is on target for a record-breaking opening weekend shattering box office numbers to rake in $250 million just in North America.
The film has already passed that mark in global sales with a domestic Friday gross of $120.5 million and $129.5 million in international revenues, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The seventh Star Wars movie is set to beat out this past summer's Jurassic World to take the title of highest-grossing debut of all time, easily surpassing the Universal film's $208 million three-day haul.

It took five days for the dinosaur adventure to bring in the same amount of money as The Force Awakens is expected to make this weekend.
Putting the money-making in perspective, Deadline.com said Saturday that the Disney film had grossed $100 million in just 21 hours by 1 p.m. on Friday.
It's Thursday night previews take of $57 million eclipsed Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows Part 2 that had held the record for the biggest preview Thursday at $43.5 million.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens is set 30 years after the 1983 film Episode VI - Return Of The Jedi.
It brings back veterans Harrison Ford, Carrie Fisher and Mark Hamill in their legendary roles of Han Solo, Princess Leia and Luke Sykwalker.
Also back are beloved fan favorites Chewbacca, C3P0 and R2D2.

But The Force awakens introduces new characters and fresh faces as Disney prepares for a string of new Star Wars films and spin-offs.
Daisy Ridley plays a young scavenger called Rey who teams up with a stormtrooper played by John Boyega to fight a new evil.
The movie also stars Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, Lupita Nyong'o and Domhnall Gleeson.
According to THR.com on Saturday, 71 percent of those going to see the film are male with more than half of audiences - around 64 percent - aged between 18 and 34.
