Bernier redeems himself; Senators get blanked

Two Canadian NHL teams were in action on Wednesday night.
Here's a quick look at how they fared:
Bernier bamboozles Pens
James Reimer was ruled out shortly before puck drop due to an injury, which forced Jonathan Bernier back into the net for the second consecutive day. But unlike yesterday when he allowed six goals, he did not disappoint.
Bernier made 39 saves in the 3-2 shootout win, including multiple highlight-reel stops, to keep the Leafs in the game against the resurgent Pittsburgh Penguins.
Dion Phaneuf and Jake Gardiner had the regulation goals, and P.A. Parenteau scored the winning shoout goal.
Sens sunk by Devils
Ottawa Senators goaltender Andrew Hammond lost his third straight game in regulation and the Senators were shut out 3-0 by the New Jersey Devils.
Devils' goaltender Cory Schneider made 36 saves and the Senators could not capitalize despite outshooting New Jersey 36-20.
Mike Cammalleri scored two first period goals, which were the difference in this one.
