Maatta hasn't played since Game 2 in the series after taking a hit from Capitals defenceman Brooks Orpik.
Orpik was suspended three games for the hit and is expected to return to Washington's lineup tonight.
Penguins sticking with Murray
Matt Murray will remain in net for the Penguins in Game 6.
Following Monday's practice, Sullivan confirmed without hesitation that he will be sticking with the 21-year-old rookie. Murray is 6-2 in the playoffs with a 1.96 goal-against average and a .937 save percentage.
Veteran Marc-Andre Fleury, the team's usual No. 1 goalie, has been on the bench as the backup but hasn't played since March 31 after suffering a concussion.
Superstar showdown
The highly anticipated matchup between Sidney Crosby and Alexander Ovechkin will be in full force for Tuesday's Game 6.
Crosby hasn't scored in the series and has only managed 11 shots on net in 133 shifts (over 15 periods). Meanwhile Ovechkin has five points in five games while firing 27 shots on net. The Russian sniper helped his team avoid elimination in Game 5 with a goal and an assist in the Capitals' 3-1 win on Saturday.
