At first glance you might think you're looking at stunning shots of beautifully intricate trees - but this is actually a birds-eye view of the winding river stretching into the ocean.
Photographer Jassen Todorov, 40, from California, said: 'It's nature at its best! The tendril patterns create incredible aerial abstraction, and I find it very inspiring to see nature mimicking its own creations through other creations.
'There are many amazing tree-like, feather-like and forest-like patterns within the rivers.
'It's always exciting to witness such beautiful scenery.'
