Sticking up for herself: She was criticized when pictures emerged of her wearing a lime-green bikini in Alicante last month, but Chanelle Hayes hit back over her recent weight gain on This Morning on Monday
'Everyone needs to pay the bills, but it's not my bag. I have no self-discipline.'
Chanelle she says she had nothing to do with the pictures of her taken on an Alicante beach.
'I have no idea who took those pictures,' she said. 'I didn't see the photographer. I have done set-up shots before when I was super slim.
Size eight to size 16: She told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: 'I've spent so much money on Domino's and Krispy Kreme's that I wouldn't even break even
'I just think maybe lime green isn't my colour but I thought I looked OK to be honest.'
Phillip waded in and said: 'Well who is the judge anyway to decide which is the best size to be?'
Chanelle responded: 'I have to set an example to Blakeley, '[my son]. He doesn't see his dad. So I eat in moderation. I don't binge all day. My body is just more sensitive to food than others.
'I would rather he would see me eating carbs and not miserable and snapping at him.'
Chanelle admitted that she took part in a slimming deal in the past but she didn't follow the plan given to her in order to lose weight because it was not achievable.
She said: 'Now, I'm a plus-sized model and I sell cakes and eat them. Anything like that is a bonus. I would consider it. I would make sure it was achievable for someone like me'
Style: Chanelle wore ripped jeans and peeptoe heels for her appearance on the show
She said: I had three months to lose four stone. I stuck to 400 calories a day and I was horrible to everyone. I was in the gym three hours a day and I was moody.
'I couldn't even go to the cinema. Blakeley was on a diet with me. It wasn't fair on him. I don't think I look hideous. I think I look nice.
'Why should I struggle to maintain something that's not maintainable.'
Holly and Phillip asked for further clarification on whether or not Chanelle would take part in a DVD deal.
Chanelle replied: 'If I wanted to lose weight in the future and someone offered me a DVD, I would jump at the chance. I wouldn't turn it down.
She said being thin is not achievable: '[In the past], I had three months to lose four stone. I stuck to 400 calories a day and I was horrible to everyone. I was in the gym three hours a day and I was moody'
'Now, I'm a plus-sized model and I sell cakes and eat them. Anything like that is a bonus. I would consider it. I would make sure it was achievable for someone like me.'
Chanelle, who says she is now in a happy relationship says she still goes to the gym four times a week and is still health-conscious.
She said: 'We are who we are. We should be able to eat in moderation what we want.'
Adding: 'Now, I'm a plus-sized model and I sell cakes and eat them. Anything like that is a bonus. I would consider it. I would make sure it was achievable for someone like me'
