Bombardier has moved up the release of its first quarter results.
The aerospace and transportation company issued a brief statement late Tuesday saying it would report its results for the quarter ended March 31 on Thursday, a day earlier than scheduled.
When asked the reason for the change, spokeswoman Isabelle Rondeau said, without elaboration, that it was a "conflict, schedule issue."
Bombardier has asked the federal government for $1 billion US to help sell its CSeries passenger jets, a request Ottawa has been studying carefully since it was first made late last year.
The company is also reportedly close to a major deal for CSeries with U.S. airline Delta.
It's transportation division is stil publicly clashing with Toronto's public transit system the TTC, as the train-maker is very far behind on a promised delivery of new streetcars for the transit operator.
The Quebec government has offered the Montreal-based company the same amount of money and says it is hoping to finalize the payment soon, after an original deadline to deliver the first instalment on April 1 came and went. Premier Philippe Couillard says the province's first payment will be made when issues, including liquidity, are dealt with.
Bombardier has its annual general meeting scheduled for Friday.
