The world's best biathletes make a rare visit to Canada this week for the IBU World Cup stop in Canmore, Alta.

It's the first time in more than two decades that a biathlon World Cup event has been held in Canada.
Nathan Smith is among the Canadians hoping to take advantage of the home course. He's one of only two Canadian men in history to win a World Cup biathlon race, and he currently ranks 18th in the overall standings.
On the women's side, the top Canadian is 35th-ranked Rosanna Crawford.
