Salma Hayek devastated after beloved dog Mozart found dead on her ranch from gunshot wound

Salma Hayek is mourning the death of her beautiful dog Mozart.

The 49-year-old actress revealed on Instagram that her beloved canine was found dead on her ranch in Washington State after being shot 'close to his heart.'

Salma posted a picture of the big brown shepherd mix on Friday along with a heart-wrenching message that 'he didn't deserve a slow and painful death.'

Grieving: The 49-year-old actress explained that she hadn't posted anything in the week since Mozart's death until now

'I haven't posted for a week as I been mourning the death of my dog, Mozart who I personally delivered out of his mother's womb,' the grief-stricken star wrote.

'He was found dead in my ranch last Friday with a shot close to his heart. I am hoping that the Washington State authorities do justice to this wonderful dog whom in 9 years never bit or attacked anyone.

Salma went on to describe how the dog took the land naturally and never hurt anybody.

'He loved his territory and never strayed away...he was the most loving and loyal companion,' Salma wrote.
