Halifax exotic animal exhibit teaching diversity and conservation

Fans of reptiles and exotic animals in the Halifax area have an opportunity this weekend to get up close and personal with a wide assortment of the animal kingdom.

Halifax Exhibition Centre is hosting over 30 live animal exhibits, with many available "hands on" to the public.

Visitors will have the chance to see a kangaroo, lemur, parrots, crocodilians, giant snakes, tarantulas, monitor lizards and opossum.

The show runs until Sunday.

CBC's Rob Short grabbed a camera and went to visit Little Ray's Reptile Zoo and Hands On Exotics.
