For Senators fans that made the trek to Canadian Tire Centre after a snowstorm dumped nearly 50 centimetres in the Ottawa area, Jack Eichel made it worthwhile.
Sure, the 19-year-old NHL rookie skates for the Buffalo Sabres, but his pass to set up Matt Moulson for Tuesday night's opening goal should bring any fan out of their seat.
Standing below the Senators' goalline, Eichel's behind-the-back pass fooled Ottawa forward Curtis Lazar and found the right skate of linemate Matt Moulson, who took the puck, fought off all-star defenceman Erik Karlsson and backhanded a shot that beat goalie Craig Anderson at 6:01 of the first period.

Moulson's fifth goal of the season broke a 44-game goal drought for the 32-year-old native of North York, Ont.
On Jan. 5, Eichel's no-look backhand pass to Ryan O'Reilly spoiled Florida goalie Roberto Luongo's shutout bid and was the lone Sabres goal in a 5-1 loss.
As talented as Eichel is at dishing the puck, the six-foot-two, 200-pound centre is pretty good at putting it in the back of the net. His 17 goals in 57 games entering Tuesday's contest put Eichel in a tie for third with teammate Sam Reinhart among NHL rookies behind Chicago's Artemi Panarin (19) and Detroit's Dylan Larkin (18).
