Cancer-stricken Big Ang 'isn't doing well' after chemo failed to shrink tumors

Mob Wives star Big Ang, who started another round of chemo last month for stage 4 brain and lung cancer, has been told by doctors that the treatment hasn't worked.

Janice Detore, the sister of the VH1 reality star, says in an online post that one tumor has grown while others have remained the same despite medical efforts to shrink them.

Big Ang's husband Neil Murphy has told SILive.com that his wife, who is due to begin immunotherapy this week, 'isn't doing well.'

According to her sister, the 55-year-old is in a lot of pain and suffering from labored breathing that landed her in the emergency room.

The latest news about the health of Big Ang, real name Angela Raiola, was revealed as the family seeks to raise $25,000 to pay for the purchase of cannabis oil as an alternative treatment.

Detore established a GoFundMe page on Tuesday and in just seven hours, donations totaled more than $5,000 from 79 individuals.

The family hopes the cannabis oil will alleviate Big Ang's pain and perhaps also cause the tumors to shrink, though that's not scientifically proven.

According to TMZ, cannabis oil is not cheap and goes for about $60 a gram.

The reality star was diagnosed with throat cancer last March and underwent surgery to remove a large tumor from her neck and her lymph nodes.

In December, she was told that the cancer had returned and spread and in preparation for starting chemo again, she cut her hair short.
