The founder of one of America's favorite classic soft rock bands faced a New York court on Tuesday to face domestic violence charges.
Donald Fagen - the frontman of Steely Dan - was arrested on Monday evening after allegedly attacking his wife of 20 years.
Police confirmed to Rolling Stone, that the 67-year-old singer was arrested in Manhattan after a verbal altercation with his wife Libby Titus allegedly turned violent.

A spokesman told the magazine: '[Libby] and Fagen were involved in a verbal dispute, at which point he grabbed her by the arm and pushed her. She fell, bruising her arm.'

According to Page Six, the Reelin' In The Years singer allegedly shoved his 69-year-old partner into a marble window frame at their Upper East Side apartment around 5.30pm.
The criminal complaint presented to the Manhattan Criminal Court on Tuesday morning, said Libby was injured when the singer allegedly shoved her 'by placing his hands on her arms and rapidly extending his arms in the direction of said frame, causing her to fall onto the frame and suffer bruising and swelling to her right arm, as well as substantial pain'.
Donald was released without bail after he was arraigned before court on one charge of assault and one of harassment.
Libby has been given an order of protection against the lead singer.
The 69-year-old - who herself is a folk singer - told Page Six would now be divorcing Donald, who she married in 1993 but met in the Sixties.
She told the newspaper: ''I don't feel good. I'm very tired and I'm divorcing my husband.'
The couple met while attending Bard College in the mid-Sixties but Libby left before finishing after marrying novelist Barry Titus with whom she would have a son. Libby later had a daughter with musician Levon Helm.
Libby and Donald reunited in the late Eighties and Libby is credited with helping inspire him again to dedicate himself to live performances.

Donald also co-founded Steely Dan with guitarist Walter Becker while at Bard.
The band would break up in 1981 but in the Nineties reunited and went on to create two more albums including the Grammy-winning Two Against Nature and their final release in 2003 Everything Must Go.
Steely Dan was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2001 and continue to tour extensively.
