‘I shed a few tears!’ Kristin Cavallari enjoys rare night out after brother’s death as she reflects on year of ‘extremes’

It's the year she lost a brother but welcomed her daughter. 

And Kristin Cavallari, was reflecting on the highs and lows of 2015 as she enjoyed a New Year's Eve date night with her husband, Jay Cutler, 32.

'Last night was the second time I've put makeup on in over 5 weeks. Even though I shed a few tears, it was a really nice night and felt good to be out,' the Hill's star wrote.

Cavallari is still coming to grips with the heartbreaking loss of her brother, Michael who was found dead in Utah on December 10, just over two weeks after he was reported missing.

She added: '2015 brought my sweet, baby girl but it also took my brother's life. Hoping for no extreme highs and lows this year. Happy new year, everyone.'

The blonde beauty and her Chicago Bears quarterback husband welcomed their third child, daughter Saylor on November 23.

This holiday season marked her daughter's first Christmas but was also her first yuletide occasion without her older brother.

Kristin also stated that the New Year's Eve low-key celebration was one of the only times she had left the house in weeks, explaining, 'besides the grocery store and taking Cam to school.' 

The former reality star has spent much time posting family snapshots on Instagram and shared a photo of her three-year-old son Camden making snow angels on Wednesday.

The mother-of-three also shared a makeup-free selfie in a fluffy hooded snow jacket showcasing her flawless complexion and natural beauty.

Her 30-year-old brother's 2014 Honda Civic was found abandoned on November 27 in the Green River area of Utah.

Michael was reportedly suffering from some sort of mental illness and had struggled with alcohol abuse.

Autopsy results are still pending but early reports suggest he died from exposure to the elements as no suicide note was found.
