Canadiens can't handle 30th-place Blue Jackets

The Montreal Canadiens and Calgary Flames were in action on Monday with the NHL All-Star break quickly approaching.
Here's a look at how they fared:
Canadiens dealt another loss
Columbus Blue Jackets forward Cam Atkinson had a hat trick to help his team to a 5-2 triumph over the slumping Montreal Canadiens.
It has been nearly two months since Montreal has managed to string together consecutive victories. They last went on a roll with four straight wins from Nov. 20-27.
The Canadiens had a goal from Brendan Gallagher, but the highlight of the game for Montreal was P.K. Subban scoring from just inside centre ice, however the celebration was short-lived as the defenceman headed to the penalty box for unsportsmanlike conduct.
Flames lose close one
The Calgary Flames were edged 2-1 by the Stars in Dallas.
Jamie Benn and Jason Spezza each tallied early in the second period to open up the lead.
Joe Colborne managed to cut the deficit in half in the final frame, but that was as close as Calgary would get.
