Los Angeles Clippers star Blake Griffin reportedly injured his right hand in a fight with a member of the team's equipment staff during a trip to Toronto.
According to an ESPN report, the power forward and the equipment staffer got into an argument in a restaurant. Griffin hit the man, who then left the restaurant and went outside. Griffin followed him outside and hit him again.
The man's face was injured while Griffin suffered a suspected fracture, according to ESPN, and is expected to be out of action for "a matter of weeks, as opposed to days."
The Clippers haven't commented on the reported incident, but coach Doc Rivers said a statement would be coming before Tuesday night's game against Indiana.
With Griffin, 26, missing his 14th straight game as he nurses a quadriceps injury, the Clippers lost 112-94 to Toronto on Sunday.
Considered a championship contender heading into this season, Los Angeles ranks fourth in the NBA's Western Conference with a 28-16 record.
Griffin is averaging a team-high 23.2 points per game.
