Canadiens send Tinordi to Coyotes for tough guy Scott in three-team deal@
The Montreal Canadiens have traded defenceman Jarred Tinordi and minor league forward Stefan Fournier to the Arizona Coyotes for left winger John Scott and defenceman Victor Bartley.
The three-way deal saw the Nashville Predators deal Bartley to Arizona for defenceman Stefan Elliott.
The six-foot-six Tinordi has played only three games for the Canadiens this season and was expected to be traded. The 2010 first round draft pick has six assists in 46 career NHL games and spent most of the last three seasons in the American Hockey League.
The six-foot-eight Scott is a tough forward who has five goals, 11 points and 542 penalty minutes in 285 NHL games. The 33-year-old was playfully voted in by fans as one of the Pacific Division captain for this year's NHL all-star game.
Bartley played only one NHL game this season before being sent to the AHL. He has one goal and 22 assists in 112 career NHL games.
The 23-year-old Fournier split this season between teams in the AHL and the ECHL.
