The country's top short track speed skaters, including Olympic stars Charles Hamelin and Marianne St-Gelais compete at the Canadian championships in Montreal. Click on the video player above Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET to watch live coverage of the event.
At stake this weekend at Maurice Richard Arena are spots in the final two World Cups in February and the world championships March 11-13 in Seoul.
Charles Hamelin's younger brother Francois will also be in action, returning from a concussion suffered in December.
The meet also marks the return of veteran Olivier Jean, who skated in the first four long track World Cups this season and is still deciding which sport to focus on for the 2018 Winter Games.
On the women's side, Marie-Eve Drolet will be looking to make the Canadian team for the world championships less than a year after giving birth.
