And after a social media campaign was launched in order to connect her with one of her biggest fans, Taylor Swift paid a visit a special visit to teenager Delaney Clements, who was seven-years-old when she was diagnosed with neuroblastoma - a type of cancer that's common among children and can develop from immature nerve cells in several areas of the body.
The 26-year-old hitmaker shared a sweet photo collage of her visit on Instagram, which captured the singer as she warmly embraced the 13-year-old cancer fighter in her bed.

'Merry Christmas Baby @delaneyy.bugg,' Taylor captioned the touching image, which appeared to be taken inside Delaney's home.
Taylor's visit comes after a social media campaign was launched in order to turn Delaney's aspiration of meeting the super star into a reality after her mother Wendy Campbell revealed her daughter would be entering hospice care.
'It would be a dream to meet you, like amazing!' Delaney gushed in the introduction to a video of herself dancing to Shake It Off.

Wendy revealed on her Facebook page over a week ago that her daughter's cancer 'had made the jump to her head.'
The teen's mother wrote that Delaney would be entering hospice care after a round with radiation 'to help relieve some of the pressure of the tumor off her brain'.
It's clear Taylor's visit was much needed for the devoted fan, who was unable to contain her smile as she met her idol.

The social media savvy super star snapped a number of silly selfies with the teen and her gal pals, several of which were posted on Wendy's Facebook page.
Last year Delaney landed in headlines when her best friend Kamryn Renfro was told she could not return to school when she shaved her head in support of Delaney, who had lost her hair after undergoing chemotherapy treatments.

But after Kamryn's mother, Jamie Renfro, expressed her frustration on Facebook, the community began protesting the decision - and the story made headlines across the country.
Caprock Academy, Kamryn's school, agreed to let her return the following day and the school board held a special meeting. Board members voted 3-1 in favor of Kamryn's return.
