Richard Simmons is not even opening his front door these days.
When carolers came by the fitness guru's Hollywood Hills mansion on Monday to spread a little Christmas cheer, the 67-year-old did not even take a peek.
As TMZ reported last week, the Eighties icon has not been seen in public for nearly two years.

The carolers wore red, green and cream colors and sang several Christmas tunes, but the front gated remained locked.
All that could be seen was the hit and a silver Range Rover.
Earlier this month Richard's representatives told the site the former TV fixture is 'happily living life outside the public eye.' It was added he is working 'behind the scenes' on charity projects.

In January, police were called to his residence to check on him after old friends claimed he was not being treated well.
There was even talk of possible elder abuse after a concerned email was sent to authorities.
But the Los Angeles Police Department found him 'relaxed,' according to TMZ.
Law enforcement sources told the gossip website that police found the aerobics proponent in good health but did appear to have a slight limp, which is consistent with reports that he is depressed after suffering a knee injury.
The 1980s icon of fitness also reportedly had a full beard as he allowed officers into his home for a chat.
He told the officers on the scene, according to TMZ, that he was exhausted and that he just wanted to 'spend time with myself.'

When cops asked about his gym in LA, which he has not been to in a year, he said: 'I've got people who run things. I don't need to be there.'
His longtime spokesman Thomas Estey in November said Simmons was 'sad' over the 'serious' injury to his knee.
Estey shot down claims that Simmons had become a recluse in his Hollywood Hills mansion and was depressed over his poor health and recent death of his beloved Dalmatian, Hattie.
Friends have disputed the comments and told TMZ they have not had contact with Simmons since March.

One friend, who did not wish to be named, told the celebrity news site: 'There is no way he wouldn't have gone to her funeral if he was ok.'
Simmons has also apparently abandoned his exercise studio, where he was regularly a fixture, and has failed to contact friends and family to inform them he is well.

'If Richard is really ok and is aware people are extremely concerned about him, he'd pick up the phone and tell them to relax. But he hasn't, and we're worried sick,' the friend said.
Simmons has been maintaining a presence on social media.
His Facebook and Twitter accounts included a Christmas Eve message.
'Merry Christmas to all and to all a good diet!!!,' the postings said.
