She has skillfully used her fame as a reality star to launch the careers of daughters Gigi and Bella.
And now a source has claimed to People that Yolanda Foster's fixation with the spotlight on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was behind the downfall of her four year marriage with David Foster.
A source told the magazine: 'Yolanda's obsession with fame for her and her children is the cause of the split. David didn't want to be part of the show, but he knew how important it was to her.

'She had no job, and it was a platform to launch her kids, but he didn't want any part of it, but he wanted to make her happy.'
David, 66, has been married four times and has five daughters while former supermodel Yolanda, 51, is a mother to Gigi 20, Bella 19 and Anwar 16 from her first marriage to Mohamed Hadid.
However, another source said that David in fact liked being on the program and that he found himself reaping new fans as a result of his participation.

Another source of tension, according to a source, was that Yolanda tended to make herself available for time in the spotlight but she was inaccessible when it came to her marriage.
'Things in the marriage came to a head because Yolanda's disease affects her when she wants it to affect her, she was never there for David, but when it came to the reality show and her kids, she was ready to go and willing,' said the insider.
The report comes just one day after Yolanda called into Watch What Happens: Live, where she addressed the factors that led to their disunion.

Yolanda admitted the 'turbulent circumstances' of her illness, which she has been battling since 2012, proved 'extremely challenging' and 'changed the dynamic' of her marriage to music producer David.
She went out of her way however to praise their four-year marriage, and refused to blame her husband for not being able to support her through her sickness.
'You know, we had a beautiful love story that I will treasure forever,' Yolanda told Andy.
'Unfortunately, it wasn’t strong enough to withstand the turbulent circumstances that came our way. And that’s really the story.'

As for her battle with Lyme disease damaging the relationship, she admitted: ‘Well, chronic long-term illness is extremely challenging.
'Not only for the person sick but also for the caregiver. It for sure changed the dynamic of our relationship.’
But she insisted: ‘The truth is that we both worked through the difficult time through the best of our ability, so rather than judging what went wrong, I choose to honor the great times that we shared the last nine years. And there were a lot of good times.’
Yolanda and David announced just last week that they were splitting after four years as man and wife.
