How Canadian NHL teams fared last night

Three Canadian teams suited up Sunday night as the Calgary Flames, Ottawa Senators and Vancouver Canucks either finished or continued road trips.

Here's a quick look at how they fared:

Poor end to road trip

Henrik Zetterberg showed no ill effects from a lower-body injury suffered in Friday's shootout loss to Vancouver, collecting an assist and finishing plus-2 in 20-plus minutes of ice time in a 4-2 win over Calgary.

Defencemen Dennis Wideman and Dougie Hamilton scored for the Flames, who dropped the final two games of their four-game road trip on the heels of a seven-game win streak and are 15-16-2.

Bishop a Senators' killer

Ben Bishop improved to 8-0-3 against the Senators since a 2013 trade from Ottawa, kicking aside 23 of 25 shots in a 5-2 Tampa Bay win, his second against his former team in 10 days. Steven Stamkos scored twice for the Lightning and Mike Angelidis notched his first NHL goal in nearly four years.

Ottawa lost the game and two players to injury: Right-winger Bobby Ryan (hand) and defenceman Cody Ceci (upper body).

Canucks come up short

Jaromir Jagr scored his 732nd NHL goal to move into fourth spot on the all-time NHL goals list and Aleksander Barkov scored the shootout winner for the Florida Panthers in a 5-4 decision over Vancouver. Jonathan Huberdeau collected two assists for Florida, which has won four straight.

The Canucks fell to 1-3-1 on their six-game road trip. Jannik Hansen had a goal and assist for Vancouver, which played its second straight game without captain Henrik Sedin (lower-body injury).
