It was the moment that raised a million eyebrows - as Bindi Irwin apparently passed wind live on TV.
Now the Australian winner of Dancing With The Stars has spoken out about the mysterious sound- claiming it was simply a malfunctioning microphone.
The 17-year-old expressed her doubt that a microphone would even be able to pick up such a thing, telling TMZ: 'But it was kind of funny.'

Unfazed: On Sunday while leaving LAX Bindi Irwin (pictured in New York City on Wednesday) spoke about THAT mysterious sound on Dancing with the Stars, clarifying that while it was 'funny,' it was the microphone, not her
The sound was heard as the conservationist hugged partner Derek Hough, 30, to celebrate being the first couple announced as safe during eliminations.
As Derek could be seen squeezing the star, and enveloping her in a hug, a suspicious sound overwhelmed the broadcast momentarily, leading many to believe a little bit of wind was passed.
'No. That was the mic, actually. If a mic could actually pick that kind of thing up, that's an extraordinary mic,' Bindi explained, adding: 'But nope, not me.'

Time to celebrate! The awkward moment came in the week eight episode after Bindi and Derek were the first pair revealed as safe from elimination
Though she said she was able to find the humor in the situation, and it's no surprise the bubbly teen was in good spirits.
It's been a good week for the Australian star, having just won season 21 of Dancing with the Stars alongside partner Derek.
And on Sunday she also told the publication that she had finally resolved contract issues, meaning she'll get to bring home a hefty pay packet of $230,000 (AU$322,000) for the win.
What was that? A strange sound could be heard as Derek picked Bindi up, leaving many to believe the star had passed gas
What a week! Bindi was in good spirits on Sunday, which comes as no surprise seeing as the conservationist had just won Dancing with the Stars on Tuesday (pictured)
Speaking of her time on the show, Bindi shared that she had been paid, though noted: 'for us, we donate everything back to wildlife conservation. So everything that I make goes straight back to wildlife conservation, which is really wonderful.'
The teenager was said to be guaranteed a fee of $125k for appearing on the show, but her pay packet got a boost thanks to her winning the competition.
After getting to weeks three and four she got an additional $10k per week, which rose to an extra $15,000 for week five and to $20,000 for weeks six and seven.
Bindi, who was partnered with Derek on the show, went on to make it to week eight, which added an extra $30k to the pot, and then danced her way through to weeks ten and eleven where she was said to bank a whopping $50,000 a week.
If the reported totals were correct, Bindi's pay was in the region of $230k.
However, she said that after being taxed in the US and Australia, the total really isn't as grand as it may seem.
'But what's interesting is after you pay tax to everything else, with Australia and all these other places, that actually it doesn't add up to be that much,' she laughed. 'So it looks to be a good number, but it's not actually that much.'
Bindi also addressed the minor contact, as TMZ had previously reported that the conservationist was told by a judge she had to produce a death certificate to prove her father, wildlife expert Steve, was really dead.

He was killed in 2006 after being attacked by a stingray while snorkeling near Queensland, Australia, with his passing hitting headlines worldwide.
However according to the website a court judge demanded proof the 'Crocodile Hunter' was dead, saying his daughter couldn't claim her pay for Dancing With The Stars.
The report stated lawyers for the US show submitted a minor's contract to an L.A. Superior Court judge, a required procedure as Bindi is a minor at 17.
'We're all happy' She previously had to jump through hoops as a judge demanded proof the star's 'Crocodile Hunter' father Steve Irwin was dead, saying his daughter couldn't claim her pay for Dancing With The Stars - though she said that has since all been worked out (pictured with her late father in 2003)
Bindi's mother Terri signed a form stating she gave up all rights to any money her daughter would earn from the hit show, but TMZ claimed the judge also asked for the same release from Bindi's dad.
According to the report, without proof of Steve giving up his rights to Bindi's money, the judge ruled that 'the court is unable to find that it is in the best interest of the minor to be bound by the terms of the contract.'
But on Sunday Bindi assured everyone that it was all straightened out now, adding: 'We're all happy.'
