Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli scored a stunning goal that broke a second half deadlock to lead Tottenham past Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in a Premier League match on Saturday.

With the game knotted at 1-1 with time winding down, the 19-year-old Alli controlled a pass, turned, and volleyed a shot to the bottom left-hand corner in the 84th minute to put Tottenham (11-3-9) on top for the first time in the match.

Crystal Palace (9-10-4) benefited from an own goal to take a first-half lead before Harry Kane equalized for the Hotspur.

Alli, with his sixth goal of the campaign, made it 2-1 before Nacer Chadli finished off the scoring in the 90th minute to keep Tottenham hot on the heels of the Premier League leaders. They stood fourth behind Arsenal, Leicester City and just a point behind third-place Manchester City.

Alli, born in Milton Keynes, played for England's U17, U18 and U19 squads before joining the senior ranks in February 2015.
