Yolanda Foster's estranged husband David 'thinks she loves the attention of being sick'

Yolanda Foster has been battling Lyme Disease for three years.

But her estranged husband David Foster thinks she is exaggerating the extent of the illness for attention, a source told Us Weekly.

Insiders close to the 66-year-old record producer also claim that Yolanda, 51, has never gotten a second opinion from what they call a legitimate doctor since her original diagnosis.

While The Real Housewives Of Beverly Hills star claims to have been mostly bed-ridden for the last year, sources say David is skeptical of how severe her illness really is. 

A source told Us: 'David and his family think Yolanda just loves the attention of being sick. They believe she's exaggerating her condition.' 

'And they point out that she's never gotten a legit diagnosis or a second or third opinion.'

While a friend of Yolanda's told the publication: 'The sickness is very real and not fake.'

The reality TV star, who is the mother of Gigi, 20, Bella, 19, and Anwar, 16, recently opened up about her relationship with David on Andy Cohen's Watch What Happens Live, admitting that her Lyme Disease played a part in their breakup.

'Unfortunately it was not strong enough to withstand the circumstances that came our way," she candidly told the host.

'Well, chronic long-term illness is extremely challenging. Not only for the person sick but also for the caregiver. It for sure changed the dynamic of the relationship.'

Nevertheless, it seems the two have ended on amicable terms as Yolanda added: 'The truth is that we both worked through the difficult time through the best of our ability, so rather than judging what went wrong, I pick to honor the great times that we shared the last nine years.' 

'There were a wealth of good times,' she added wistfully.
