The couple of a year spent over a week surfing and soaking up the sunshine at Hanalei Bay on Hawaii's most rural and rooster-populated island, Kauai.
But, according to Basinger's mother Ann Lee, the inseparable duo did not tie the knot during their sporty holiday.
