Sharks lean on lucky Paw-velski ahead of Game 6

Jo Paw-velski is back – and she's got friends.

The black cat became the unexpected star of Game 1 of the Shark-Predators series after wandering onto the ice in front of the San Jose bench before the game started. Though no one was really sure how the cat got into the arena, video of its 15 seconds of fame quickly surfaced on the internet.

Paw-velski now lives at the Humane Society of Silicon Valley with two other black kitten buddies and is back in front of the camera. Like Big Brother without the monthly fee, you can watch all three felines on their live webcam feed.

The trip to the humane society also revealed that Paw-velski is actually female, so the Sharks organization made a quick name change from to 'Jo' from 'Joe'. She is only two or three months old and will soon be up for adoption.

Since her Game 1 appearance — a come-from-behind Sharks 5-2 victory — Paw-velski has been considered a bit of a good luck charm.

Just how lucky is Paw-velski? On Saturday, the Sharks debuted a life-sized version of their lucky charm before Game 5 at SAP Center. The result? Another Sharks win — 5-1.

It wouldn't quite be a 'cat'astrophic failure if the Sharks lose Game 6, but a win in Nashville on Monday would send them to the Western Conference Final.
