Man live tweets watching his first NHL game, breaks Twitter

'Tony X.' isn't new to Twitter – in fact, he's tweeted over 100,000 times – but he was certainly new to the sport of hockey when he began live tweeting the Blues and Blackhawks Game 7 matchup on Monday night.

He was a little late to the party, joining into the #Game7 conversation an hour into the game, but it didn't take long for him to see what all the hype was about.

Of course, having never watched hockey before, Tony had to rely on a little help from Google to be able to understand what was going on.

Goaltending was a bit of a strange concept to Tony as well, as he didn't understand what the Blues were doing when they were up one goal late in the game. But he had an idea on how to fix it.

And even Tony took notice of Blackhawks' all-star Patrick Kane as a threat to his new favourite team.

When time ran out and St. Louis was still on top 3-2, there was no one happier than new Blues fan Tony X.

Tony now has over 20,000 Twitter followers, including a certain professional hockey team that also took notice of his overnight Twitter success.

Considering this all started because Tony couldn't watch his beloved Cardinals team play, it's safe to say he's made out pretty okay for himself.
