Thankfully harnesses will be in place to secure daredevils to a safety rail, as they travel round the roofline viewing capsule, and trained professionals will oversee the experience.

Guests will be able to spend an hour on the nail-biting walkway, which offers 360-degree views of up to 40 miles on clear days.

The feature will be created in the AYKON City development, which will be located in the Golden Quadrant of the Emirati city. The walkway is described on the website as a 'magnificent al fresco experience for the adventurous that offers an entirely new perspective on the city and a breathtaking adrenaline rush'.

Up to ten individuals will be able to try the experience each session, which begins on the 79th floor and travels to an upper deck area.

The attraction follows a daring skywalk that opened to the public last year in China on the 76th floor of the Yunding Building in Liuzhou city.

Situated at the periphery of the skyscraper's 994-foot-high top level, the narrow walkway is just 4.9 feet wide and offers incredible views over the city.
