NHL All-Star Game: Atlantic beats Metropolitan, advances to final

The Atlantic division defeated the Metropolitan division on Sunday in the first game of the NHL three-on-three all-star tournament, advancing to the finals where they will play either the Pacific or Central division.

The Atlantic won 4-3, with P.K. Subban scoring the game-winning goal with 4:38 remaining in the final period.

Dylan Larkin had three assists for the Atlantic, which led the team. Erik Karlsson, Jaromir Jagr and Aaron Ekblad added the other goals for the winner squad.

Kris Letang opened the scoring 1:01 into the game, giving the Metropolitan a one-goal lead. Evgeny Kuznetsov and Evgeni Malkin also scored, but it wasn't enough to push the Metropolitan into the finals.

Ben Bishop made 10 saves in the final frame, only allowing Malkin to score 25 seconds in. His teammates picked him up, scoring two goals in the period to given them a 4-3 win.

The Pacific division will take on the Central division, with the winning team taking on the Atlantic all-stars in the final.

Whichever division comes out victorious will win $1 million US to split amongst the 11 players.
