Ryan Reynolds reveals daughter James' birthdate on Twitter as she turns one

Ryan Reynolds finally revealed his daughter's birthday after a year of keeping it private.

The 39-year-old actor took to Twitter on Wednesday with a sweet message for his baby James.

'Happy birthday to my baby girl! Sad I lost my virginity. But thankful I have a daughter,' he tweeted to his more than 850,000 followers.

Ryan and his 28-year-old actress wife Blake Lively welcomed their daughter over the 2014 holidays but had never revealed her actual birthdate of December 16.

The Canadian actor opened up about fatherhood while gracing the October issue of GQ magazine.

'I have no problem waking up five times in the middle of the night and changing diapers, and as exhausted as you get, I have this stupid grin on my face all the time,' the actor said.

Ryan has been promoting his highly anticipated film Deadpool.

The latest poster for the new movie was released earlier this month.

The actor retweeted the official poster for the movie that sees the Marvel Comics character squeezing his behind with words: ‘Bad ass. Smart ass. Great ass.’

Deadpool follows a former Special Forces operative turned mercenary named Wade Wilson who after being diagnosed with cancer undergoes a rogue experiment which leaves him with accelerated healing ability.

The slightly mentally unstable anti-hero in the comics and films breaks the fourth wall and directly addresses the audience.

Deadpool will be released on February 12, 2016.
