In the French capital, the Galeries Lafayette department store always has a sumptuous tree - any excuse for an afternoon of shopping. "The choice is phenomenal at this vast department store," says our expert Natasha Edwards. "Despite the crowds, it still has a certain glamour, with the stained-glass rotunda in the main store dedicated to women's fashion, ranging from high street to high luxe and hot young creators."
