Will forfeit over $164,000 US in pay

Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand has been suspended for three games, without pay, for clipping Ottawa Senators defenceman Mark Borowiecki on Tuesday, the National Hockey League's Department of Player Safety announced today.
The incident occurred at 8:41 of the first period.
Marchand is considered a repeat offender under the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement and, based on his average annual salary, will forfeit $164,634.15 US. The money goes to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
