Eddie Redmayne could be well on his way towards another winning streak as he was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild award on Wednesday morning, after claiming gold the year before.
The actor was nominated for his performance in The Danish Girl after winning the previous year for another lead role in The Theory Of Everything.
However, he has some stiff competition in the form of Leonardo DiCaprio (The Revenant), Johnny Depp (Black Mass), Bryan Cranston (Trumbo), and Michael Fassbender (Steve Jobs).

Anna Faris and Anthony Mackie announced the nominees on Wednesday morning in Los Angeles.
Meanwhile, Cate Blanchett tops the list for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Lead Role for Carol.
Going against Blanchett, who won in the same category in 2014 for Blue Jasmine, is Helen Mirren (Woman In Gold), she's won at the SAG three times before, Brie Larson (Room), Saoirse Ronan (Brooklyn), Sarah Silverman (I Smile Back).

While for supporting actors it will be a battle between Christian Bale (The Big Short), Idris Elba (Beasts Of No Nation), Mark Rylance (Bridge Of Spies), Michael Shannon (99 Homes), and Jacob Tremblay (Room).
The female actors in a supporting role category is stacked with Helen Mirren (Trumbo) and Kate Winslet (Steve Jobs) topping the list.
Rachel McAdams (Spotlight), Rooney Mara (Carol), and Alicia Vikander (The Danish Girl) complete the list for best supporting actress.

While the ensemble for a motion picture category sees Beasts Of No Nation (Abraham Attah, Kurt Egyiawan, Idris Elba) go against The Big Short (Ryan Gosling, Brad Pitt, Christian Bale, and Steve Carrell), Spotlight (Michael Keaton, Mark Ruffalo, Rachel McAdams, Liev Schreiber, John Slattery, Brian d'Arcy James, Stanley Tucci), Straight Outta Compton (O'Shea Jackson Jr., Corey Hawkins, Jason Mitchell, Paul Giamatti), and Trumbo (Bryan Cranston, Diane Lane, Louis C.K., Helen Mirren, John Goodman, Elle Fanning).
With many of this season's film awards categories still wide open, the Screen Actors Guild Awards nominations will help bring serious contenders into better focus.
The Screen Actors Guild Awards honor the best film and television performances of the year. Nominees are selected by separate movie and TV nominating panels, each comprised of over 2,000 randomly selected SAG members.

Many members of the SAG movie panel also vote for the Academy Awards and as a result, the SAG nominees have traditionally served as a helpful indicator of potential Oscar acting nominees.
The 22nd annual Screen Actors Guild Awards will be broadcast live on January 30 from Los Angeles on TNT and TBS.
SAG is often considered the best predictor for the Academy Awards, with last year's winners going on to claim Oscar gold.

In fact Eddie Redmayne and Julianne Moore both won at the Screen Actors Guild Awards before winning at the Academy Awards for best actor and best actress - the and the same for J.K. Simmons and Patricia Arquette for supporting roles.
The only category that did not match up was SAG's ensemble award which has no equivalent in the Oscars.
SAG nominees are voted in by their peers with 4,200 members of the guild randomly selected each year to nominate their favourites.
